Reflection on Audience Awareness

1. Linda Flower stresses the importance of audience awareness in composing while Elbow concludes that the question /issue with audience awareness in when. How would you explain the connections between these two points of view?
The connection between Linda Flower and Peter Elbow relating to audience awareness is that they both agree that audience awareness is important at some point. In the case of Linda is that she thinks that we should consider audience awareness at all time and Elbow is saying that we should know when is the right time to consider audience awareness is.
2. In general, what have you learned from Linda Flower’s and Peter Elbow’s article as a writer and as a reader?
After reading this articles I learned that writer based prose and reader based prose are both important at some point and how are they related to audience awareness. For example I learned that writer based prose is mainly when we writer without thinking about our audience is basically writing our thoughts and ideas in a way that we understand. Also I learned that when we consider audience awareness is better to star writing as writer based prose because it would be more helpful and at the end the results would be a better draft. In the other hand I also learned about reader based prose is when the writer is composing its piece of writing but they consider their audience. For example when the author does reader based prose they thinking more if there audience would be able to understand what they write. In the case of audience awareness when doing reader based prose sometimes can led to a confused and tangle draft.

Rhetorical Awareness

You are probably aware of the importance of Rhetorical reading thus far. I would like to know how you would evaluate your use of rhetorical reading strategies and whether you will have any plans to improve your rhetorical skills and what are the plans?
My used of rhetorical reading would be writer based prose because when I writer I star writing to myself. I star by putting down all my ideas and thoughts in order to end up with a draft and then I would revise. After what I read I decide to star practicing my reader based prose so I can have a more well develop draft and more understandable. I know it would take practice but is just a matter to keep practicing until the writing improves.

You are also expected to have a good understanding about Writer-Based Prose and Reader-Base Prose and the difference between them lies in the use of Rhetorical Strategies. I would like to know how you would differentiate the use of rhetorical strategies in writing (from reading as above) and what will be your plans to improve your rhetorical strategies in writing.
I differentiate reader base prose and writer base prose by the type of writing when is writer base prose is harder for the reader to understand because the writer is basically writing all their thought and not really thinking if the reader or audience would be able to understand. In the other hand reader base prose is easier to understand because the writer is writing to the reader and putting in it in simple and more understandable words so it would be easier for the reader to understand. In my personal writing I would consider myself a writer base prose because I know that most of the times I don’t think about my audience I just keep writing my thoughts and ideas but sometimes I stop and when I’m reviewing my paper I stop and think about my audience and try to putted in words that are simple and easier for my audience to understand.
